It's a fun summertime activity for adults (and children with adult supervision.) We are open Monday - Saturday. Plan for a few hours or come for the day!

Our inflatable kayaks are super stable and fun to paddle. They are light-weight, sit low in the water and are easy to maneuver with a kayak paddle.

Self-guided kayaking (kayaking on your own without a river guide) on the Provo River is great for adults and children 12 years & up if children are accompanied by an adult. Trips are good for children 6 years and up if younger children float in a tandem kayak with an adult in the same kayak supervising them.

Kayaking is a great small group activity that is challenging. It boosts confidence. It's fun for families, couples' dates, company parties and youth groups.

WHAT YOU GET:

• Choice of a one-person or two-person (tandem) inflatable kayak for a 3-hour rental. There must be at least 2 people kayaking on your trip. We do not allow our guests to get on the river alone.

• Kayaking paddling skills overview and safety lesson. All guests receive instruction. You must confirm that you can perform a self-rescue before you get on the water.

• Personal flotation device, kayak paddle, helmet (optional), safety throw ropes, tie-down straps and map.

• Shuttle service from your car to the river put-in and from the river take-out back to your car.

• Provo River kayak rental trips run from the base of Deer Creek Reservoir and on the Provo River to your choice of places to take-out. We will confirm your take-out location and return time before you start your trip.

• Rental time from the time you put-in to the river to the time you return the kayaks, gear and equipment is 3 hours. The rental time may be extended at hourly rates if arranged and paid before your trip.

• The Provo River is Class I-II water, making this trip fun for beginners. It is also great for more experienced paddlers.

• Located in Provo Canyon, near Orem, Utah, the Provo River is a 45-minute drive from Salt Lake City and Park City.

• Before or after your river trip, enjoy many things to do in Provo Canyon including: Sundance Resort, Bridal Veil Falls, world-class fly fishing, Mount Timpanogos and the Uinta-Wasatch Cache National Forest, Timpanogos Park and Nunns Park.

• Guests are responsible to cover the costs of lost or damaged gear (kayaks, paddles, etc.) on kayak rental trips.

DIRECTIONS TO YOUR PROVO RIVER TRIP: Take the Nunns Park exit from Highway 189. At the four-way stop, drive straight on Old Highway 189. Pass the parking lot for Bridal Veil Falls Park and meet us on Old Highway 189. We are located 10 minutes from Orem, 15 minutes from Provo and 45 minutes from Salt Lake City and Park City.
