The "Lickety Split" section of the Kern River is Class II-III. It is challenging, fun and exciting.

Guided kayaking on the Kern River is great for children 12 years & up. It is good for children 8 years and up if they are floating in a tandem kayak with an adult in the same boat supervising them.
